Just for no reason but for you to show off your bargains or if you think of one item you bought at full price but would have paid double.

Cheers

two new Fox warrior es carp rods 2.75 lb £40.00 would be one for me

An Alcocks Match Aerial for £5 in about 1970. Shop was clearing out tackle they couldn’t sell and I believe that Alcock had just gone out of business at that time.

Still use it. Perfect working order.

Mint Speedia narrow drum £80. Would have been happy to have paid more coz I love it.

My Mrs is a car boot sale fanatic and a couple of years back she along with lots of other scavangers where looking/scrabbling and grabbing through a pile of stuff someone had dumped and the sale organisers would just throw it away at the end of the day if no one took it. Anyway she found a wicker loyd loom otterman and also found me a boxed allcocks match aerial inside an old suitcase, inside a box, inside it's own box. Ok the box was/is a bit tatty but the reel is totally as new and looks like it's never been used at all !
Since then I've had quite a few trips to the sale myself and have had a few excellent buys. I did regret not buying a new sage fly rod for £70 as when I got home I looked it up on ebay and the same model (but used) was going for £500 and above.

A original Daiwa Lochmor Z 10 ft 7 weight fly rod. I ordered it mail order only to discover that the shop had rung the amount on my card through incorrectly and charged me £13.30 instead of £133.00.

A lovely vintage engraved Eaton & Dellar brass & ebonite salmon reel off e-bay for less than a tenner. The seller had listed it in a weird way meaning the serious collectors never spotted it. I found it purely by chance looking for something else & watched it like a hawk for a week before nipping in & getting it with the one & only bid. The seller was gutted but realised his mistake too late.

Mark, I bought this rod on your recommendation. Haven't had much chance to use it with waters frozen but come the summer it will get a good work out

Skippy try the garbolino 9ft carp rocket picker for a summer version or the Maver abyss 10ft for a nice float version

I had a waggle of the Garbolino but I was after a much more delicate rod.It was too pokey but the Shaky wand is just what I was looking for.Superb rod...and silly money too.

You are probably well out of it. Either the seller had been on the receiving end of a lobotomy or you may have been 'handling'!

the Shakey is a great rod for pence in real terms

Didn't half have me confused at first.

I thought a Sahkay was some sort of new Indian/Pakistani import and only now do I realised it's m'Luds dyslexia problems kicking in again or he's getting more like me and suffering from character juxstapostioning. :)

I bought a little Shakey MK II 9ft wand to try out, must get out with it sometime, but it looks the bis!
