Looking to buy a Marker Rod

On the ‘Ear-Ol’ again to you knowledgeable bunch of C..C…C….Carp anglers (oops – nearly) and I’m after a marker rod. As far as I’m concerned, I’ll be using it for marking and marking only, I don’t want it to catch fish on hence a relatively low budget. I’ll be buying it online (wa-haa) so any suggestions or links would be seriously appreciated. What should I be paying?

Try a Bass rod.Nice and cheap with the ability to chuck 2 to 4oz but with a responsive tip which will give you good idea of the bottom.Most seem to be 11 feet but go for a 12 foot model.Mine came from a sea fishing shop and was an end of line Mitchell.Price ?20.00 (?120.00 in the Tackle Box ! , only joshing)It also serves as a spare Pike rod.
