wrong hooks

i joined a club 2 years ago.as i was only a begener at fishing, i was enjoying the day,when 2 men came to check my hooks,they said i was useing barbed hooks in stead of barbless,they checked my packet of hooksand found my packet was mixed,the club was lucky not to have been banned.itook them back to the shop,and told theh what happend,they could not be botherd,just changed my hooks,now i check my hooks before iuse them,idont use thatshop any more,any one had that happen to them

Think they could have been a bit more supportive mate. I'd find another tackle shop, get the right one and they're a great source of help and advice. Whereabouts are you..?

The same thing happened to a chap in my club a couple of years ago Tony.
Even though it said barbless on the packet, they still had barbs on them.
This was in the Warrington area. Can't remember the brand name of the hooks though.
