D Rigs

I recently got a Nash Tackle promotional pack containing a selection of the firm's ready-made rigs and other bits and pieces.

There were some size 1 Nash Quickfit D's (reverse D rigs) in the pack and I have a few questions that someone may be able to help me with:

a) Can you use a D Rig for pop up baits only or are they also suitable for 'bottom' baits?

b) What size hook would you need to use with Nash Size 1 Quickfit D's (it doesn't give any clues on the packet)?

Pop ups are fine with 'D' rigs, not sure on the hook size question though.

a) d's are ok for bottom baits, best on clean patches
b) no idea, but so long as it goes to roughly the bend of the hook, it'll be ok
