Any tips on a feeder rod and reel?

Hi guys, my little bother (well younger, not so little) wants to buy a medium feeder rod (up to 4oz three tips) and reel, ?80-100 tops!
We've been looking at combo deals, but I thought you lot would know best.
Any thoughts?

This months coarse fisherman has a review of feeder rods under ?80 Steve, not many have 4 tips mind.

Agree with the Toffee Man, but liked the Daiwa Vertice as a starter's feeder rod.

I have seen and felt one of these already and they are N-I-C-E! Double leg rings barring the last before the tip, as well. Three tips too. Can't do much better for ?50.

Other than that the Fox Challenger. Again double-legged rings bar the last before the tip, but only two tips on this one. This is the one I would go for. Seemed to me like it would even handle a decent barbel.

You can get many a nice reel for ?20-30 off Ebay.

1 Ron Thompson 12 ft superior feeder rod ?10.

Try tackleshop.co.uk they have a Drennon 7 series for ?71.00 and it comes with 3 glass tips and you can buy all size spares the website is well worth a look at it is on this page.
