Everyone i've asked recommends freelining for cats but the bites will not register on my fox micron alarms when my bail arm is off. is there a way of getting a decent bite indication with my bail arm off and with a minimum of resistance. pleez help me!

Position your buzzer just in front of your reel and use a cabletie for your bobbin.

But then the rod would be incredibly unstable. or do you mean using just one bankstick.

so the rod is up in the air or with a back bank stick.

3 banksticks ; front one around the middle of the rod, middle one with buzzer fairly close to front of reel, back one at butt end of rod.
I would have the rod pointing DOWN the line towards the bait, not up in the air.
