Tony. I am also in Lancashire mate. Blackburn were are you based.
Adding water will helpkepp the bread together allowing it to go deeper before spliting into the fine particles. Mixing hemp as the same effect by adding extra weight to the ball. Some use fine gravel. Hemp also adds a extra attraction also. You could also use micro pellets.
