I heard of 4 definite cases of codling on the extremities of the Solent, has anyone else heard of any caught?

They're a bit bloody early, another bumper winter for shore codling?
Let's hope so....

I was catching codling 100 yards off Brandon Head (Kerry) during 1st week of August but maybe the are there all year. I hope it's not the Gulf stream slowing down.
As an aside we were drifting with baited featheras & 'bright lads'. 1 of the lads brought up in 1 shot a small wrasse, a codling & an 8 foot shark. He sh*t himself.

There are cod in off the east coast of Scotland...about a month early!

two weeks ago ago me and a mate were night fishing off dungeoness in kent, in three hours we pulled in 29 codling. impressed we were untill we went to go to discover the bloody foxes had pinched more than half our catch out of our buckets!
