Is there any reasonabley well stocked tench waters with fish of 6lb plus fish near bury, lancs?

Pilsworth Fisheries, though not a large stock of tench and size is what you catch. I haven't fished it for years though. Ask the guys at Fishermans Way.

I,ve had more success catching tench in the bottom lakes but oviously the fish are usually smaller. I believe one of the better pegs for big tench is at the car park to the main lake, there is a post sticking up out of the water. It is shallow though so better in warmer temperatures. Mind you, it is decent weather at the moment and tench seam to be getting caught early spring.

To have any reasonable level of success you will have to accept that you will need to fish further south in the cheshire region. Some good waters in that area which will produce multiple 6lb+ fish in a session.
