Talking to my brother-in-law last in the week and last weekend he fished a carp lake - had one run amd caught a 8lb carp in 4 hours

This time of year I like to put one rod out for a bonus carp and fish for silvers on a mixed lake

What about other are you a carp or bust type?

Definately 2 rod, one for silvers or bits. Either float or feeder.
One lake I used to fish, I'd use mainly a feeder though sometimes a float, use to catch plenty of carp up to double figure. One day had result as said and poor chap next to me had fished early morning and had zilch, not even a blip or liner using 2 carp rods. He made a promise of using a float or feeder rod and leave only the one carp rod out. This was in the summer.
