Sorry I haven't fished Bewdley for pike, I fish mainly below Worcester, but I'd look to fish under bridges and deeper slower stretches. From memory there is some free town water but pop into Stan Lewis Tackle on Severnside and he'll sort you out.
long-trotting a dead roach/ smelt (held back in likely spots)- takes often come on a slow retrieve if the bait is mounted head to top treble and body flexed to create curve, best lure there is
or livebaiting or,
legering sardine/herring/smelt for pike (in that order) or bleak/roach for Z's,
All works for me...
