The small disposable scissors used by hospital nurses. I've spent so much time in hospitals over the last 5 years I have enough of them to last a lifetime.

The small scissors on my Swiss Army multi-tool thingy are pretty good but a bit fiddly for big dumpy fingers.

Over the years I've used: Gardner, ESP and Greys but then I discovered Owner and they have served me well for the past couple of seasons.

As S-Kippy says, they are not cheap but they are the best.

I've had a set of fox culprit for years, really good but bulky. Recently got Korda braid blades, again really good but my favourites are Suffix performance blades. They are razor sharp and take up little space in your tackle box(£7ish).

Bought a pair of 'Harris' Braid scissors 15 years ago. Absolutely razor sharp... bloody dangerous in fact.

Still do the job fairly well, obviously not as sharp.

ESP Braid Scissors | HarrisSportsmail.com

Harris - now a merged company - list the 'improved' ESP model. Seems similar but the original anonymous model had orange handles. Did anyone else use these?

Thanks for the input everyone. I bit the bullet, splashed the cash and bought a set of owner. I will do a review when I get a chance.

Do shop around as the prices seem to vary from about £11.95 upto £15.00 from different sources.
These were £12.95 including delivery from Mr Fish in Jersey, ordered late afternoon on the 23rd, received morning of the 26th.
