barbel trip

Hi Guys, i wonder if any of you could help me?

Myself and a freind are off for a two day trip (one day on the royalty, and one at throop), at the begining of march.

Neiter of us have fished here before, and neither of us has ever caught a barbel!!! (looking forward to having a crack at those chub too!!!).

What i am after is general info, pegs ,baits etc

Any help would be great

Maggots on the feeder or float at Throop, maybe some boilies (source) but I have gone underground, and I am sworn to secrecy on pegs on open forum.
