Hello I'm going to a local canal sunday to fish for roach, perch etc with my fishing buddy. As I live very close to where we r going I was going to pre-bait the swims is this a good idea we will be fishing with bread and maggots (pinkies) so I was going to put a bit of Blitzed bread in tomorrow is this a good idea if so how much should I use and any other ideas for pre baiting.

Just happened to be the first one on J.B.
Be carefull with any prebaiting for the roach and perch on the canals in winter mate, you could easily over feed them.
Feeding squatts instead of maggot would be a safer bet as well, with a couple of squatts or feeders on the hook. A small size 20 should be okay, i.e different brands can vary a lot in size.
And try chopped worm for the perch, with a red worm on the hook.
