I'm going to treat myself and buy a bait boat this year. Reading a few articles here and elsewhere the AT Microcat looks the one to go for but I'd appreciate any opinions from owners/users of this and other boats.

Ive repaired and modified them all
so my opinion is stick with the cat its the bollocks !

Cheers guys. I wanted to make sure there wasn't something new out for 2006 that was perhaps worth holding on for.

Have you any views on any of the accessories such as bankside chargers?

spare batteries is a better way to go

Maplins ?9.99 each and thats for 12 amp ones

solar chargers can be bought a lot cheaper elsewhere as well....

yeah, i know.

cant you charge from your powerstation? would've thought it was cheaper than carrying around a load of batteries.

lighter too!

same thing frothey its time ,charging 12volts with 12volts is slow
to fast charge you need to charge at around 14 volts
which is why a running car is quickest


so I find it easier to carry the batteries

I have more hassle with the handset than the boat and is now modified to run direct of my power pack
