internals are kinder on the elastic, but the down side is you have to cut more pole back.
a good tip for external bushes is when you cut the tip back use a stanley blade, or even better a fine cone file and file a champher in the inside of the tip, this way you do not risk the elastic wearing against the inside edge of the tip.
