I've tried glows on lures and livebaits for zander at night and never had a hit on one. I thought it must have looked so garish it scared them off.

I think it might be the same sh*t that is sold over here as photo blocker. i.e. a light reflective coating sprayed onto your car number plate, go through a speed camera and the flash is reflected rendering your number plate illegible to the Feds.
