I've lately taken up chub fishing on my local river ouzel. Cheese paste has without a doubt proved to be the most successful bait. I have found that I have only been able to hook 1 out of 7 chub bites on average. I've tried different hook sizes, hair rigs, hooklength lengths, consistencies of paste. I really need some expert advice on this one. Pleeez help!

Cheese paste can and does go hard in cold water. It masks the hook point if it?s buried in the bait. Try a Korum bait screw. I?ve even used just pieces of cheese on the screw, with good hooking success.
