Les, it may be a silly question, but why do you need a two man?
Unless you are taking a youngster with you, I can't see why you would buy a 2 man.

My Nash Groundhog is pretty big and is very stable. Anything any bigger would restrict my swim choice too much.

ps: no-one would want to share a bivvy with my snoring

Having purchased a Nash 2 man I wish I had gone the Armidillo route. Much more robust and solid.

only if its bucketing it down or like some fisherman I know , they can't be asked to set up a full caravan awning, too many poles and ropes etc.

JRC have acouple of poles to slot together, then the rest is pram hood design , sling teh cover over peg down finished.

More time for fishing and all your gear don,t get wet, and neither do we.

Just bought the JRC brolley for short day ticket trips, can,t wait to try try it.

No race just a feckin pain in the arse when its pissing down non stop, pram design or brolly with sides (stealth) would be my choice for a quick erection or for a more prolonged one then the new Viagra dome would be first choice!

Got the 2 man sti here too David, wife put some towards mine too.

Now when i come home she asks if the bivvy is wet and gets it out and puts it to dry on our landing.

Agree its 100%.

Les buy a shelter that folds away so small you can be mobile at any time. Its not about setting up camp. Scale everything down and be ready to move any time onto fish. I recommed the fox stalker shelters, everything fits into your rucksack and the poles into your rod holdall. At night the ribs can be pulled down over you to make an excellent shelter.

Can't touch the JRC STI......brother Dave has got the 1 man...nice but when I was looking for the same, they brought out the STI Extreme......cooshty, it's got the extended porch section....have a browse on t'internet, should get a good price somewhere. Try premier baits at Thanet, I found them to be the best around and the cheapest. They trade on Ebay, very good service.
Cheers Steve

I have the STI and it's great when it's put up but it's no where near as quick to erect or take down as my mates' Armo, the Fox Evo brolly, or any brolly.

The Trakker Big Z is brilliant for most sessions where space is tight, you haven't taken the kitchen sink or the bank is awkward.
