Can anyone give me some information on linear fisheries. I have looked at the website and the broucher. I want to know how hard each lake is (day ticket only). What baits etc. You know just general info. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ok
Baits -
Do they feed in the margins?
Do they rspond to single baits or a large amounts of feed needed?
Does stalking pay off?

Lakes -
Depths?
Which lakes are easiest?
Average sizes?
Stocking density?
Are they ever too crowded?
How close together are each swims?

That should narrow it down a little.

Baits - Little Yellow Pop-Ups and Maggots work at this time of year.

Lakes - My word I have never seen such a busy set of lakes whenever I have paid a visit. Arrive at 5am on a Saturday and it could well be last swim on the lake time. I don't know if things have thinned out down there since Brasenose lake opened this year or whether that has just encouraged even more people to turn up.

The webiste is full of info and if you give Roy Parsons the head bailiff a ring on his mobile he is a really helpful bloke. He's even tried to stop me coming down when its been freezing as no-one is catching! I went anyway and blanked ;o)

No worries Joskin, I thought it was open but it must still be getting hammered by the magazines and big names at the moment.

Cheers.

Which lake is least crowded?
Is it difficult?
Does it have a big average size?
Is it as crowded on week days?

Plenty of lakes to choose from so you will always find a space but yes it is always very busy.

Are there hotspots or will almost every swim catch on its day?
Is it best to do 24 hours (or more/less)?
