hi, as i am having problems chosing an under £100 carp rod, could anyone be of any help.
i like the fox warrior s cork but i like the greys prodigy sx this is proving very tricky! if anyone can be of any help and give me the best test curve for medium pva bag fishing at about 20 to 60 yards.

Why not have a look at the Sonic rods, buy two get a 3rd free.

You can also mix the test curves to cover your carp fishing. If not i would go for the greys.

As your not fishing any distance a 2 1/2 lb TC should do you just fine, you would get away with less of a test curve had you not been using pva bags.
Try www.johnsonrosstackle.co.uk for the rods

Hope that helps

But with Ray's idea, you could get, say, 2 x 2½lbs TC and 1 x 2¾lbs TC rod and add/mix them to suit! It's not a bad idea.

If it helps, I have two Greys Prodigy 2½lbs TC and they cast brilliantly. In fact, 80-90 yards is no problem with a well packed bag on (put the lead in the bag and streamline it).
