hi guys, can anyone out there help me, i am going to benwick on the old river nene, just want to know if the benwick bridge stretch is day ticket, and whats the chances of catchin carp, also any info on bait would be much appreciated, thanx snake

I know that little bit of river like the back of my hand.

Me and my friend John have had pike to 14lbs, perch to 2 lbs, tench to 5 lbs, roach to 1lb and bream to 6 1/2 lbs from this little bit of river.

Never seen any signs of carp thank goodness.

Never seen a carp in the Old Nene but there are a few in some of the other Fen drains and rivers, they can be quite visible in summer I've seen several on a couple of waters I fish.
