Some of you may be interested in TeamSurv, a project to produce better charts.
This is a community driven project, where boats log depth and position data going about their normal activities, and then upload them to the web site where they are corrected for tides and other factors.
The corrected data is viewable on the web immediately, and we are currently working on further processing of the data to be able to download chartlets of areas where we have sufficient data.
Data logging is simple, using a small data logger that interfaces to NMEA0183 or Seatalk instruments, keeoing the data on a USB memory stick, or through software running on a PC.
