Just had a butchers at your photo`s ,I recognize the set up and the gear but I wasn`t into tank tops ,shame about the pike .

Yes, the pike was killed (in less enlightened days). But I vividly recall the rollicking I got when I got it home.

(11yo fished on my own and walked back about 3 miles with it slung over my bike).

Never knowingly killed a fish again except for put and take trout fisheries (and I even stopped fishing those in favour of catch & release).

In the "opening day" picture, I was only wearing waders because I once saw the great Ivan Marks wore them!

I've got a picture of me holding a 21 lb pike taken in 1964.

The one I am holding in my photo was taken about 69-70 ,no idea of the weight .

I have one from about 1500 BC (before Carp Society) with me and the lads having a bash on the old mead wine, with a few of the nunns down at the local Monastry Inn, when I first got me habit, not many people had cameras in those days, I`ll post it up when I find it

Hi Graham ,yes mate Im getting to be a old git now ,56 soon,I just look young at a distance, about 600yards .
