I,ve got the fixture list for the new season starting late April and I was wondering if anyone has fished a couple of venues I,ve never heard of.Any advice/tips would be a great help.

1)Hill Pool at Sion Farm

2)Elmsbridge

3)Swallow at Monkhall

4)The new pool at Solhampton

Monkhall had massive problems recently and the stocks were decimated so I know the regulars have given it a miss of late. The owner is very quirky regarding baits and methods only 'natural' baits allowed in limited quantities. If you contact him he will put you right but take the reported catches with a pinch of salt - let's just say he's economical with the truth. The pool is almost round, 30 pegs some tite, with an island in the middle which you can reach from most pegs with 16 metres. Fish tite to the island features, down the track and close to margin featues (if you have any). Depths vary from 2-3 feet in margins, nothing to 2 feet over and 6-8 feet down the track. Carp to low doubles and tench and bream to 6 lbs were the main target species prior to the fish deaths.
