Browning Cudmore Arena Lake

Hi one of my mates has arranged a weekend festival in May and there's 20 of us making the trip to Cudmore in staffs. We are fishing Arena lake and Im after any advice on baits, tactics etc. Im new to match fishing this year and finding it a bit daunting to be honnest!! I plan to have a couple of practice sessions on the lake before the festival.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated and hopefully help me give some of these guys a run for there money - most of em having been match fishing man and boy if you know what i mean!! Cheers

Until recently I lived fairly close to the venue. Like most commercial match venues, the locals who 'live' on the venue will be the best guide. It's probably best to check match dates and times and go observe the 'in' methods a couple of weeks before your event. When I last went there for a team knockout semi, paste was very much the method.

lo mate, spam on a bed of sweetcorn is my best method. barbel tench and carp all day mate, plenty of corn mind!lol
