Goosanders- should I be worried?

My local pond- approx 1/2 acre- free fishing and full of roach to 1lb(and "looked after" by the local council who don't actually take any interest at all)has in the last couple of days become home to about 12 Goosanders. My dog's scared them off once but they've returned.As they eat fish can anyone advise whether we should be worried? Do they decimate a place like cormorants?

thanks BLAM, looks like we should be worried- up to 20oz fish times 12 is about 60 x 4oz roach a day. Anyone any first hand experiences?

We had a couple of them goosy things on our local cut once. I asked a regular, a non angling towpath trotter where they had gone of to, all he said was that they tasted nice, then walked on.
