Chub and cheese paste

Yet again a very informative article Mark and well written, just a couple of questions.

Is that cheesepaste mix designed especially for cold water conditions, it being quite a soft mix, to allow for hardening in the water?

I was a bit surprised that there was no cheddar in the mix, is this because it would make the mix too hard or is there another reason?

thoroughly good read....myself and yoggy have been fishing a stretch of the nene that has some excellent chub fishing on offer and we think the potential to produce a surprise or two.
yoggy has had some good chub on his own cheesepaste mix whilst most of my success has come on monster crab flavoured meat but i`m dertimed to give the cheesepaste recipe mentioned in the article a go...many thanks.
