Can a basic John Wilson float rod handle a baggin waggler? What is the lightest weight they cum? thnx Ben

No mate.

You really need a 1.75lb - 2lb test curve carp rod to chuck it any real distance. You would get away with a very heavy feeder rod such as a Porky Pig though.

i use the avon section on my jw avon/quiver for fishing with pva bags on anchor bds 1.5oz leads....if you had one of these rods,i`m sure it would be able to handle it but i wouldnt go trying to cast to infinity and beyond though.

so does that mean i can use a feeder rod with a quiver tip then? cause iv gt a heavy feeder rod. it wud be handy if i cud use dat rod

You can use any rod you like mate but if its too soft you wont get much distance and if its too stiff you wont enjoy the fight. Feeder rods are generally to soft.

Just give it a go and see.
