Are there any of you out there who, like me, started off their angling careers fishing junior competitions? Did any of you represent your clubs in National team matches?
Not to be confused with the NFA Nationals, the National Junior Angling Association (NJAA) competitions have been running annually since 1957. Since all of the Association records were lost a few years ago, the only documentation of our competitions prior to 1995 that we have are the engravings on our team trophies.
I am currently updating the Association records, which can be seen on our website (www.njaa.org.uk/trophy.html)
We would love to hear from any former junior match anglers who might remember, or have records / match results / photos of NJAA competitions in years gone by.
