Just heard that he died yesterday, how the face of Carp fishing changed with his inovative idea's.

I don't think most of todays carp anglers will have any idea of the debt they owe mr middleton

I caught me first 20 Carp on a Middleton bait, they used to come as a string of boilies and you just broke one off when you needed it. Unflavoured as well i think.

Innovative guy indeed.

A sad loss indeed, the man who was responsible for the modern re-discovery of the hair rig will always be owed a debt by all who use it.

One of the greats...The man who caught us most of our carp....Will never be forgotten.
