to everyone on fm ,
have just recieved an email off an old fly fishing mate from the 70s ,
he swears by mixing oxo cubes into his bait and swears it,s a killing combination for carp --chub -- bream --tench is he taking the piss

No Michael, he's not mate. Oxo cubes pumped into pellets is very good aswell.

hmm...
I know this sounds fafethced,
but crab paste mixed with a mixture of breadcrumbs and bread makes a KILLER paste.

I've heard of using Oxo in groundbait for chub and barbel, so give it a go.

I've also heard of smearing baits in marmite to give added attraction. Tried it on cheese paste whilst chub fishing but made no difference really . Blanked on all baits that day !!!
