There's hardly anything of it...half a dozen turns of tying thread[choice of colour]...three or four turns of copper wire, two peacock herls twisted together, tied in and a couple of turns to form the thorax, whip finish and that's it.

I tied a few in yellow, red, green, brown and pink thread, and caught on all of them, although if I remember rightly the green and brown ones were the most effective.

It can't really get any more basic unless you count Oliver Kite's Copper Wire nymph.
