My wife has just bought me the Shakespeare Cypry Dome Excel, she said that I could have the same amount that I spent on her for my Bday present so I asked for this Bivvy.
I've been told that the older version which was the cypry Dome was not very sturdy, so I wondered if they've corrceted that problem and now call it the "Excel" I know that ?60 isn't much for such an item as a bivvy, but with todays prices you don't get a decent one unless you spend a lot on it. Saying that I have heard that the Cypry Dome is very waterproof, so it should do for what I want it for (I've got my Old Army sleeping bag to keep me warm so as long as the Bivvy stands up to the wind and rain, I should be OK!
Any body know if Shakespeare have improved the sturdyness or of any other reason why they've called it the Excel?
