I have 2 of the 8000B GTE reels, when I last went fishing I noticed that when reeling in (applying pressure) to the spool it was jumping as if comming loose from the reel the reataching back.

Can anyone tell me where to send my reel to have it looked at? Also any tips for keeping the reels in good order.

Mine do this, if you crank in heavy weights with them, the spools eventually work a little loose because the "cross" inside which connects to the spindle is only made of plastic.

Has anyone seen any advice from Shimano or anywhere else? I have a set of 8010s I bought recently from eBay for carping and I am assuming that they have not been regreased/lubricated since they were originally bought maybe 5-7yrs ago. What I have done before with other reels is just use WD40/oil/grease internally to lubricate the gears, clutch, bearings etc. But I would not want to DIY and then damage them!
