Just wondered if any of you own one of these rods?
If so would you reccomend it for smallish river barbelling?
Would also like to use it for tench and margin fishing for carp.
Thanks in advance,
Steve.

I presume you mean the 12 ft 1.25/1.75lb version if so I own one of those and they are an excellent rod and wouln't hesitate in recommending those to anyone. At ?99.99 they are value for money by any standards.

Hi steve got one last year. Had Barbel of the Teme to 7.8Ib on it with just the 1.25Ib tip fishing close to the snags no problem. I used it with the 1.75Ib tip for Carp on the floaters to 16Ib. not used it for tench as i fish the canals for them with the lift methord. I treated myself to the Podigy Power float for this.

If your anywhere near me or going to any of the fish ins at press manor or clattercoates i would be glad to bring it along.
