Hi Ron, my friend has a set of these and they really are the dogs danglers! OK not 2.5 but 2.75TC with a CT action, very nice indeed!

Many thanks mate. These rods look like what I am after.
A rod for general carp fishing, to take to South Africa on my next trip and to use as a light beach casting stick on the Oz coast.
