Hi lads, I have just put a post on the FiveLive message Board under 'Other Sports' complaining about the lack of representation on there about Angling. Needless to say, I am getting the usual flack. If anyone wants and/or has the time to support me, you can find the thread on the following link
BBC Five Live
It is fairly easy to sign up for the BBC Message Boards.

Go on, give it a go, your sport needs you !!

Got myself registered but unless I'm misreading it they have closed the board.
Nice to see a quick reaction from the angling fraternity, especially as they are using facts and figures to counter the usual non anglers myths and preconceptions.
Cakey's probably right but why make it easy for them to ignore us.

The BBC only allow postings during the day and early evening when there is someone to moderate them. The Board is still open and you will be able to post tomorrow. The last post is just showing that they have removed one post that presumably had a lot of swearing or something offensive on it, so please feel free to post tomorrow Phil or anyone else that wishes to.

Thanks to all of you that did post.

I have heard angling discussions on the beeb in the past, especially radio. Anybody who spoke up for angling got cut short.

The BBC is anti-shooting and fishing. Always has been, always will be. Their agenda is to be seen to be politically correct. Quite frankly they don't deserve the licence fee. They're a disgrace!

Although, to be fair, they do produce some other very good programming...
