Willows Lakes St. Albans

Hello.I'll be fishing Willows Lakes (ex Bowmans lakes) near St Albans.Have you fished it ?Any tips?I've haerd there is a hundreds of hungry fish.

I have asked the same question on a different thread and after speaking to my local tackle shop owner he has said the water is low but still fishing well, the carp are showing in the shallow water.
I am going to be using the pole and fishing for the smaller species with maybe the chance of a bonus carp, baits seem to be boily for the carp and worm for anything else. I have never even seen these lakes before so if any one can offer any other advice I would be grateful. Cheers.

Yes - hold on to your hat! It is (at least, it was ten years ago when I fished it) extremely exposed. There used to be trout in there then too; that way they could open between April and June as an 'any method' trout fishery. I don't know if any have survived.
