Caught my first ever Mirror this morning,I'm absolutelly made up!!
Lots of free fishing here in N.Wales so i went to a local pond 10mins walk away from my house to see what was in it, just took the waggler rod and a tin of sweetcorn.
I've had commons up to 22lbs, sometimes by design, sometimes not, on different waters, but in the 8 years since returning to angling had never caught a mirror carp.
The fishing was very tricky, weed was a nightmare, the pond is 2ft deep at the most, anyway after about 3 hours the float burried and after a short fight i had a mirror of about 1ib in the net, never really had a thing about carp but this was the most beautiful fish i have ever caught, fin perfect, never caught before linear mirror, dark bronze with pearly cream scales.
Why can't fishing always be this good
