i havent been fishing for about 18 months now and miss it like mad, so im going this friday. but i read in a magazine the other day (when brushing up on my skills!) that the knot i used to use to tie my hooks with is not a very good one and is meant to give under only a small amount of pressure, even though i never had any trouble with it in the past. which knot do you use? i prefer not to use over technical methods, just a simple but solid way of tying my hooks (and maybe used for swivels as well)

Spade End Knot.

Lie the line along the shank of the hook.

Double the line back on its self to make a false loop.

Hold with one hand leaving a loop at top.

Wrap line around the loop about 6-7 times.

Take end of line through the loop.

Moisten and pull tight.
