i went out for a short recce this morning to a pond 5 minutes walk up the road, with my lure rod and smartcast, after hearing rumours of a few bream in residence.

while i'm casting away an 18 inch long brownie swam straight past me not a foot from the bank in a foot of water, in all i saw 5 fish not one of them wary of anythng other than the bright orange sender module, and the biggest was slightly over 2 foot long.
so tomorrow while you lot are enjoying yourselves on press manor good luck by the way, i think i'll get my flies out and have a little fling myself.
