About 230 miles is my guess.

On open roads in England allow 50 mph average. On busy roads, 30 mph average. In the worst case: 7 1/2 hours, totalling 15 hours driving there and back.

It took me 5 1/2 hours to get home last time, to Bristol, after two sleepless nights pulling barbel in!
Well, one chub actually (5lb), but it was well worth it! Just meeting Ron was an education, I couldn't understand a bleeding word he said, likewise I'm sure.
;-)
Seriously, it was great last time meeting everybody, although I missed a few.

Christian, if you live not too far from the M4 we could possibly take a detour?
PM me.

A trip oop north! I wouldn't mind a bit of carbelling.

BTW why do you call Ron a bewhisked temptress? Surely all his hair fell out a long time ago.
