Ryan, what type of fishing are you looking for? There's so many options that a full answer would take days to type!

Sorry! The only foreign countries I've fished in are Spain and the U.S.A..

There is a vast amount of fishing in the Doncaster area, from some of the best canal fishing in the country, to lakes, barbel fishing, superb river roach fishing, one of the best trout resevoirs in England to drain fishing for excellent tench.

Why not go out and discover it all for yourself just like many of us have done.

If you want plenty of bites, have a go at Hayfield, Candy Corner, Bank End, Lindholme, Lodge Farm or Hallcroft. They're all full of fish.

Not my style, but I have fished them in the past.

Ryan, unfortunately, a lot of those waters will be booked up with matches. If you can't get out in the week, it's often worth fishing after the matches have finished.

If you watch the end of the match and the sunsequent weigh in you wil learn about the fish stock and which are the best pegs.

Ryan,
Lodge farm at Scrooby has an old style lake as well as modern strip ponds, just about any peg produces on it with a good selection of fish too.
If you go sundays after 3:00pm (also the matches) you can fish till dusk. Fished there today and caught plenty of tench, carp and good sized skimmer bream on corn and meat over pellet. Because not many fish after the matches its really quiet and within an hour or so the margin fishing is great.

Bivvied Up on Thorne Road do carp and specialist gear.

Doncaster Angling Centre on Carr House Road is the nearest shop selling match gear, maggots and so on.

Francos in Bentley is good for bait but he's a couple of miles out of town.

There's a stall on the market that is ok for bits and pieces.

Have a look in the Yellow Pages.
