John Wilson Sharp Shooter

I thinking of getting the John Wilson sharp shooter and multiplier from Bennetts for ?80 plus some bits. Anybody recommend this as a good setup?

Cheap and cheerful...its ok..but wont last as long as an Abu multiplier and a custom built rod.

i have heard of the sharpshooter reels blowing up very quickly...but i cant confirm that.

I would never buy a cheap multiplier. Most come with magnetic brakes which are not as easy to use as a centrifugal brake and when using large plugs in windy conditions require a fair bit of expertise. With a bit of searching you can buy an Abu or Shimano Corsair for around ?70 and check out the new QED Quickset from Harris - looks the business.
