It's interesting, reading people's posts you can guess what type of fish they would be.
I'd like to be a chub - you won't catch me.
Others are bristling perch grabbing at every worm that's a-dangled. Some are big, majestic old carp. Yet others are camouflaged pike waiting in ambush.
What are you Wol? Big snake, slab, bab or zed?
I guess Ron won't want to be a ratfish!?

I'd like to be a barbel because I can travel and become famous. I can travel from one weir to another at the bat of a lie, sorry eye.

(Sorry Greg, couldn't resist it!)

Now, to be serious, I'd like to be a carp in a non-commercial fishery as they live for a very long time.

They can fly them barbel can Graham. I've seen it with my own eyes.
Carp can too you know, just ask Hedges. Hedges moved about 15 wiers up the Nene from nassongton into a lovely lake near Thorpe Waterville (15 miles?) a couple of seasons ago.

We're fine so long as they're not as big as Wol's Ed!

Wise old Eel me mate, and unlike you lot i can go over land and live longer.

Barneys deffo a Herring......

Biologists have linked a mysterious, underwater farting sound to bubbles coming out of a herring's anus. No fish had been known to emit sound from its anus nor to be capable of producing such a high-pitched noise.

I think there are some members of a certain Trent syndicate who are herrings (red ones)

I saw that one a month or two ago Wol. Almost put it in the paper until I realised it would damage my credibility more than writing about Trent barbel catches! He, he!
Can't believe I haven't had a run yet. Better put on some Roquefort cheesepaste on the hook, that'll get the tip jagging!
Waahheeyyy! The old ones are always the best!

I think I would like to be a big old roach, very few of them get hooked do they?

It must be awful being a fish, there you are just settling down to a nice bite to eat and suddenly some big fat hairy a...d angler nearly rips your head off.

OK you tempted me.

Gregs a flounder, for obvious reasons, and because he likes hiding in the sand.

Bobs a grayling, also known as...........;0)
