Took a friend fishing today to a local roach pond, he has only been fishing for about a year and just does a bit of basic ledgering.
Lent him a rod, helped him plumb his swim, and set a small float up just right and told him we will probably catch 50 to 80 roach each this morning.
Lent him a ground bait bowl with hemp and white crumb
Not a bite, tried on the bottom up in the water, different baits, nothing not a single bite in three hours.
I've never blanked there before it's always a fish a chuck no matter what the season, aint it always the way when you go to show somebody something it doesn't work, I put it down to the hot weather and lack of oxygen in the water
