Wendy. When you buy line make sure you check the packaging. Quite often you will find that the manufacturer details recommended knots for their particular line. The usually have easy to follow sketches of how to tie the knots too. The nice thing about them is that, unlike a book, they take up no room in a tackle bag. I'm not ashamed to admit that I forget knots sometimes. I use grinners so often that the others disappear somewhere in the old grey cells...

No probs Wendy, It'll keep you occupied for a while as there are methods in the book that you wouldn't think of using and lots of practical advice as well. I remember someone calling it the coarse fishing bible.

Happy reading.

My youngest brother called in on the first series and was stuttering he was so nervous, it's strange because it's only a phone call but I imagine the thought of all the viewers must get to the callers. You did fine, not a tremor.

Ha, ha. this reminds me of the time I was called by Atlantic 101. They asked a question which, had I have known the answer, would have netted me an easy ?1,000. It was just some phrase that they had been saying all day on the radio program. I didn't know it and the thought of speaking on the radio with thousands(?) of listeners freaked me out.
Now I don't mind standing up in front of packed theatres.
