Evening chaps,

im off to Killarney in Co. Kerry, Ireland on Saturday. in the killarney national park there are numerous smal hill lochs which are free to fish and apparantly hold lots of small brownies. how would you suggest i fish for these?? i have a 9 foot 5-weight rod i use for dry fly. would this be suitable??
what flies should i use??

Any advice welcome

Cheers

Traditional patterns such as Black Pennell, Invicta, Mallard & Claret, Connemara Black etc if you are fishing wet flies.

For drys at that time of the year I would suggest you carry a few daddies.

A 5 weight should be OK but for still water fishing I would be happier with a 6 or 7 weight.
