Fishing in the borders

Hi there, I live in Bradford and I want to come to the borders to fish , but i don't want to pay the Tweed prices,

does anyone know of any places where its good fishing but cheap.

Assuming you are talking salmon/sea trout, you could do worse than try the Annan. For a salmon river it is pretty reasonable.
It has a good run of sea trout during late spring/early summer and a good run of salmon at the back-end.
I had a lovely sea liced fish straight off the tide in October last year, so they are not all coloured fish at that time of year.

The Nith is a bigger river, but the runs follow the same pattern.I haven't fished the Nith, but it gets a good press.
